Lately I've been feeling some discontent with my life. Which annoys me to no end. I have a truly beautiful life, so this quote came to my inbox at a much needed time. A happy life is a life of gratitude and simplicity. I'm already brainstorming ways to put this into practice.

To be continued...

Miracle Baby

Probably because I'm a sensitive person anyway, I've always been very careful not to make anyone without children feel like they're not living life right. I also had a feeling that one day, I might be on the other side of the coin. And, in fact, I was.

When Tom and I decided to start our family, the butterflies in my stomach would get so excited that I felt them rush all over. I'm a planner, and I loved daydreaming about the things I would be doing with our baby when it arrived.

A birth story

It's been ages since I've updated my blog, and so much has happened. I'll get to it all in good time, but I thought I'd refresh with the most exciting event of the past several years-- the birth of my lil' baby girl, Claire.

She was due on Christmas Day, which was nothing short of poetic given how she was our miracle. We, like basically every parent-to-be that ever was, hoped she would be early. Tom had a terrible holiday schedule at the hospital that he was hoping he could get out of. The babies in my family always come early, so I was hopeful. I set my last day of work for December 19th, come rain or, well, baby.
